Coaches

Who you'll train with

Sessions in the Cave are run by coaches from the Indy lacrosse community. Book with one of them, or bring your own players and coach here yourself.

Matt McIntyre

Matt McIntyre

Founder, Lax Cave

Matt owns McFly Lacrosse and its Max Lax house leagues, and the Indianapolis Checkers box lacrosse team. He also runs tournaments, events and clinics around Indy, all aimed at the same thing: growing the game here.

He built the Cave to give Indy players and coaches a place to get reps year round. He coaches the Lacrosse 101 sessions for players brand new to the game, and handles everything behind the scenes: scheduling, programming, and working with coaches who want to run their own sessions here.

Rachel Frantz

Rachel Frantz

Crossroads Lacrosse

Rachel runs Crossroads Lacrosse, offering private and small group training in Indianapolis. She is in her 23rd year in the sport, has played in England, Scotland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Colombia, Malaysia and Portugal, and currently plays midfield on an international team.

She has coached for 13 years at the high school, middle school and collegiate levels. She is head coach of the Austrian national team, now working with Team Austria on their run at the LA28 Olympics, and previously coached the Colombian Women's National Team, who she led at the 2022 Women's World Lacrosse Championships.

This past year she signed with Warrior Lacrosse and New Balance, and worked closely with Warrior engineers to design a women's lacrosse stick. Her sessions weave in the mental side of the game: positive self talk, motivation, and listening to your body.

Now adding coaches

If you coach in the Indy area, there's a spot for you on this page. Run your lessons and clinics in the Cave on a revenue share: no rental fees, no upfront risk, and a room that's set before you walk in.

McFly Lacrosse promotes your session to its entire audience by email and Instagram, and handles registration, waivers and payments so you can focus on the lesson.

Plenty of coaches fit here: college players home for the holidays or the summer, high school players who want to give back to the youth game, and anyone building their own training business. We handle the backend for you, and we can do that for your sessions outside the Cave too.

The first three trainers to host lessons get a signing bonus.
